When I Grow Up

This piece represents two careers I have wanted to pursue throughout my life. In short, the two things I’ve wanted to be “when I grow up,” an astronaut or an art teacher. I chose to make the doll based off a recent full-length photo of myself in order to make this piece more personal and true to my own aspirations. The doll’s outfits are not complete; The complete outfit would show the salary of a male worker. I chose to depict the percentage of income a woman in that particular career field would make, in comparison to a man.
